Los Angeles - in Great Risk of having Unhealthy Breathing Air.


The nation’s second-largest city, Los Angeles was in a great risk of making the air unhealthy to breathe yesterday.

The Tuna Fire, the largest fire in the history of L.A. city, in terms of its acreage, after destroyed three houses on Saturday forced the authorities to evacuate 700 homes in the neighborhoods of North Los Angeles, Burbank and Glendale.

Since Friday the fire among thick bushes sharply slipped down the hillside towards the houses, forcing more than 500 firefighters battling it under the temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit and over.

To battle the blaze in order to protect residents and property the state and federal provided to the City all the available resources.

Cars were passing by flames a few dozen feet away with smoke hovering over the 210 Freeway enforcing the officials to close a stretch of the freeway.

The Fire has burned 5,000 acres (2,000 hectares), and destroyed 32 homes in Butte County.

According to the National Interagency Fire Center, since the beginning of the year, Wildfires in the U.S. West have burned more than 7.1 million acres, about 50 percent more than during the same time period in 2016.
