Nomination for 2020 U.S. Presidency made known at the Golden Globe Award Ceremony.

One of the most famous awards show in the world had much to say last night from the assembly room of Beverly Hills Hotel in LA.

As the numbers of powerful men accused of sexual abuse or harassment add up in U.S. entertainment, politics and the media industry the list of candidates to host the Glamorous Hollywood shows goes shorter, same goes to the nominated artists. At least that's what we understood from the last night award show in LA.

The Golden Globes awards ceremony drew the curtains yesterday evening with a wish for Oprah Winfrey, to be the next U.S. president. The sudden proposal of the host, Seth Meyers, was strongly applauded by the Hollywood attendees.

On the 1st Sunday of 2018, the 63 year old entertainer, was honored by the Golden Globe award for her role as a model woman and as a person who has promoted strong female characters.

Yesterday Winfrey became the first black woman in U.S. history to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association joining the likes of Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand and Sophia Loren.

In her 9 minutes speech Oprah compared herself last night with the actor Sidney Poitier saying: “In 1982, Sidney received the Cecil B. DeMille Award right here at the Golden Globes, and it is not lost on me that at this moment, there are some little girls watching as I become the first black woman to be given this same award.”

Grounded and shining from the awards show Stage Oprah Winfrey gave the most inspiring “new day” speech in support of those who have exposed sexual misconduct in Hollywood and beyond declaring that “a new day is on the horizon” for girls and women.

“I want to express gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault because they, like my mother, had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue.”

Today the entertainment star’s fans lit up Twitter with calls for Oprah Winfrey to run for the next U.S. presidential election in November 2020 and urge the White House to run after #MeToo speech.

“In a 9 minute speech, @Oprah was more presidential than the current occupant of the White House has been for an entire year,” wrote a member of the Democratic National Committee, on Twitter.

“That speech was everything. #timesup #oprahforpresident,” tweeted Boston television personality Cassy Arsenault.

Winfrey, an actress, movie and television producer, and chief executive of her OWN cable channel, is actively thinking about a run, CNN reported on Monday, citing two of her close friends.

In recent years, Winfrey has used her star influence to endorse the first black U.S. president Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton campaign against Trump in 2016. This year it looks like Oprah is making a move to rule the world with her grace, knowledge and especially with her wisdom.

It’s up to the people ... She would absolutely do it.” Stedman Graham, Winfrey’s longtime partner in business and life said yesterday.

Oprah Winfrey's influence on popular culture remains very strong, so does her $3 billion net worth. Last year, Forbes placed her third on its list of America’s richest self-made women.
