Inappropriate accesses to data on 50 million Facebook users, is reported last weekend, to have been acquired by the Cambridge Analytica, a political consultancy that worked on President Donald Trump’s campaign.
Regarding this fact Ron Wyden, Democratic Senator on technology issues, today sent a letter to Facebook Chief Executive, Zuckerberg. Among several questions, Wyden asks the company on how many times during the past ten years Facebook is aware of third parties collecting or processing data in violation of the company’s platform policies.
Mark Zuckerberg today is called for an official statement regarding the social media company’s policies for sharing user data with third parties.
Senator Wyden requested an official response to his questions by April 13.
